Stumph Wins at Delta Rock in August |

Mike Stumph has done it again with another hard earned win at the Delta Rock Races. Mike lost his first race, but came back hard to win the over all with two out of three wins over tough Carl Nelson (2nd place). After the race Mike gave the kids rides in the race vehicle.
Mike has natural racing talent and is doing well for his rookie season with two wins. Mike can also weld and bend tube. He has taken part in work we have done on the race vehicle and participates in some of the actual design. His expertise is drawing, prototype designs and paint schemes. The current stars and stripes paint job is from his hand drawings that we took to our paint sponsor (Finishing Touch Auto Body) to have implemented.
Mike has always had a chance to drive the race machine between races, during practice sessions and on trail rides. When he was eight years old we would have him load the race vehicle on the trailer by his self. He has seized every opportunity to progress that has come his way in motor sports and it is starting to bear fruit as evidenced by his progress so far this season.
Mike was the Freshman class president at Delta high school (2006/2007). He is a leader in scouting and church groups and is working on his Eagle merit badge for the Boy Scouts of America to be completed within the year.
Our next two races are in Richfield Utah (Utah 4WD Association) and Salt Lake City Utah (UROC Rock Cross). The U4WD event includes a trail ride as well as a rock crawling event at the county fair grounds. The SLC UROC event is the debut of the Rock Cross season at Rocky Mountain Raceway. Rock Cross is a new form of motor sport that combines the technical climes of rock crawling with the speed of motocross.
